Short Story Intensive

Come in with a story idea and leave with a completed short story.

6 writers. 4 weeks. 1 story.

$400

  • Fully fleshed out short story of up to 5,000 words
  • Developmental feedback from an award-winning editor
  • Community of dedicated writers to share your work with
  • Space to write

Class meets February 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th of 2027

Each author gets dedicated attention on their story and editorial feedback. Each week there will be 2 hour classes. One hour of the class is focused on a specific topic: story idea, character, dialogue, and scenes. The other hour of the class is a quiet writing time to work on writing the story.

After the final class, writers will send their completed story to the teacher for editorial feedback and help on what to do next with their piece.

The $400 fee for the class gets you detailed feedback from an editor, guidance from an experienced teacher, critique notes, 4 two-hour classes, and the space to write a complete story with the help of an experience author and editor.

*All purchases are made through PayPal. Once you reserve your spot, you’ll be directed to the class signup page where you’ll input your information and receive word from me on any prep work you’ll need for the class or workshop.

Reviews

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Aigner was awesome! She was super patient and answered any questions I had. I’d highly recommend her to anyone with a concept for a story.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Aigner’s detailed comments helped me see where my intentions weren’t coming through clearly on the page and gave me concrete ways to revise.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Aigner did incredible work helping me with plot issues and character development, as well as some style issues. She was thorough and detailed in her feedback letter, and in our video calls.

WHO I AM

My name is Aigner Loren Wilson, and I am an award-winning editor, award nominated writer, and writing teacher with over 10 years experience. I want to help students learn how to write now and into the future, to build a sustainable practice, and learn specific craft techniques through deliberate practice, focused critique, and close reading. I want all students to leave from my classroom excited to create and challenged to push themselves.
