Excited to announce I’ll be doing an AMA over on r/Fantasy this Sunday. It’s my first AMA on Reddit, and I’m really happy to be doing it with that subreddit. The community of fantasy fans and readers is really great, informative, and fun. I’ll be answering all things related to my fantasy writing, editing, and reviewing—including book and story recommendations!
Here’s the post I’ve written for the upcoming AMA with all the details:
Howdy, fantasy fans! I’m Aigner Loren Wilson (she/her), a fantasy writer and senior fiction editor for Strange Horizons and former guest editor of Fireside Fiction and Apparition Literary Magazine. I’m a 2023 double Ignyte Award Finalist in the best novelette category for my dark fantasy story ‘To Carve Home in Your Bones’ (The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction Nov/Dec 2022) and in the critics’ category for my review writing and genre analysis in places like Lightspeed Magazine, Tordotcom, and Tor Nightfire.
My short fiction landed me on the 2019 Otherwise Fellowship Award honorable mention. My short and longer fiction has appeared in F&SF, Baffling Magazine, Fantasy Magazine, and more. I’ve been writing, reviewing, and editing fantasy professionally since 2017.
I’m here for your questions! What would you like to know about fantasy publishing, writing, reviewing, reading, or my short and long works? I’ll also give book and story recommendations if people would like! I’ll be answering questions from 8 AM PST (11 EST) on 6/25 to 8 PM PST (11 EST) on 6/26.
If you can’t make the AMA, please feel free to drop questions in the comments and I’ll paste them on the AMA with answers!
Thanks again for reading and supporting me.
