Contamination-Apparition Lit: Give Me Your Words

May 12, 2021May 12, 2021 ~ Aigner Loren Wilson

Since accepting the role as guest editor for Apparition Lit's Contamination Issue, I've been thinking a lot about what contamination means. Not just that, but how it can show up in stories and poems. Apart of my role as editor, I believe, is to help give you an idea of how best to navigate getting … Continue reading Contamination-Apparition Lit: Give Me Your Words

My past, present, and future

January 9, 2019May 29, 2019 ~ Aigner Loren Wilson ~ Leave a comment

I wanted to make a full post for this because I'm so damn excited. My little weird horror fantasy book, 'To Carve Home in Your Bones,' is going to be in a future issue of The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction. Date nite baking with baby. We made milk bread! This past week, I wrote the rough/zero draft for my next book during the mornings before starting my other work. It was exhausting, exhilarating, and a hell of a ride. I'm used to fast drafting, but this was the first time I've drafted a new project of this size for my own work in like 6 months. And damn, I never slept so good. I'm building a new course specifically around writing scenes. Working with writers as both an editor and writer, I've noticed it's one of those aspects about writing that often gets overlooked or left underdeveloped on the page. Baguettes I've made over the weeks. From 1st to latest. Not all pretty, but all delicious. Link in bio!
